About Us
MIT Taida is proud to be the founding—and longest running—MIT branch. From its humble beginnings two decades ago, it quickly grew, and, under the care of husband and wife managers Eddie and Mika, has remained the area’s most respected English school. We’ve seen hundreds of students graduate from our school and go on to successful careers throughout Taiwan and around the world, thanks to their time at MIT.

The MIT Philosophy
Theme-based: more fun and better results
MIT takes great pride in offering excellence in English education while creating a family-like environment. Our small classes, immersive experience, and experienced teachers all combine to create a fun, confidence-inspiring environment that nurtures students’ ability to express themselves. We’ve developed our own internationally recognized curriculum, combined it with the latest technology, and hired an incredibly experienced staff to bring your child the best English education possible.
The MIT Story
Putting students first for two decades
Nearly two decades ago, Shawn and Sean, encouraged by the award winning success of their students, opened the first MIT. From those humble beginnings in a small school with just two classrooms and a handful of students, MIT quickly grew to multiple locations and hundreds of students. Throughout their long history and steady growth, MIT has always remained true to its core principals: experienced, professional teachers and a fun, confidence-inspiring environment that nurtures students’ ability to express themselves.

Education and Experience
MIT strives to create an environment that is not only ideal for your child, but ideal for dedicated educators as well. That’s why we are able to attract and retain teachers with years of experience, advanced university degrees, and specialty training. Come meet us and see for yourself.
The MIT Curriculum
Taiwan's most comprehensive learning system
The MIT curriculum is one of the only learning systems in Taiwan to be developed by the prestigious Oxford University for international publication. In spite of this success, MIT has never rested, constantly expanding, improving and developing new teaching approaches. Our wireless classrooms integrate with our online resources and programs to create a fully immersive English learning environment.
Wireless Classrooms
A world of knowledge at our fingertips
MIT has iPads, wireless connectivity, dedicated teachers’ sites, short educational videos, the best reviewed educational apps, and lots more that the world of educational technology is crafting to make learning better, faster, and more fun.
SOLE
The award-winning teaching approach
In 2013, Sugata Mirta won a TED Prize for his groundbreaking approach to education which he calls Self-Organized Learning Environment. MIT has adapted his research to suit the specific needs of Taiwan students, and our program allows students to learn, explore and work together in new, rewarding and exciting ways!
The Reading Club
Setting goals, rewarding the imagination
Studies consistently show that, outside of the classroom, reading on your own is the best way to learn a language. That’s why MIT incentivizes students to read on their own, while ensuring they have access to hundreds of titles, so each student can match their ability and interest to the perfect books for them.
The Latest Educational Technology
Investing in the latest tech to make learning fun!
MIT knows there is no substitute for great teachers and a great program. But we also know that investing money in the latest award-winning tech adds to the learning experience. MIT has invested in award-winning tech like OSMO, the most highly-reviewed educational apps, 3-D pen kits for our creative geniuses, and lots more.
